Our Walls Stay Fresh.
With gallery lighting and pristine walls, each building in the Sawyer Yards complex hosts on average 6 exhibitions a year. Our exhibitions aim to showcase the work of our occupants along with local, regional, and national organizations and institutions. We welcome visual art in all media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, participatory, video and new media.
Collected Perspectives
Silver Street Studios invites tenant artists to participate in Collected Perspectives, a salon-style exhibition celebrating the diverse artistic voices that make Silver Street one of Houston’s most vibrant creative communities.
Bringing together work from across the studios, Collected Perspectives reflects the individuality, vision, and range of practices that coexist within the historic warehouse complex. Through a layered salon-style installation, the exhibition creates an environment of discovery where viewers can experience each artwork as a unique expression while also engaging with the larger creative ecosystem that defines Silver Street Studios.
Participating artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work in highly visible public corridors throughout the building, reaching collectors, curators, fellow artists, and visitors during regular studio hours and special events. The exhibition format encourages dialogue between artworks, revealing unexpected connections and highlighting the collective strength of the Silver Street community.
Whether you are presenting new work, sharing a recent series, or exhibiting alongside neighbors for the first time, Collected Perspectives offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and engaging portrait of the artists who call Silver Street Studios home.
Join us in creating a compelling exhibition that celebrates the many perspectives, experiences, and creative approaches that make our community unique.
Each artist is given a reserved space in the main corridor to decorate as they choose, while the secondary hallways have a curated presentation.
Each participant in this exhibition is required to have at least one piece for the secondary hallways.
Any artwork left uninstalled or space remaining empty at Exhibition Opening will be returned and space forfeited without refund.

Transformative Teal
Sabine Street Studios | Summer Exhibition
In the luminous heart of summer, Sabine Street Studios presents "Transformative Teal", a bold and immersive exploration of change, fluidity, and renewal through the prism of a singular hue. Teal—a striking blend of blue's tranquility and green's vitality—serves as both inspiration and vessel for this diverse collection of works that speak to transformation in its myriad forms.
Curated to challenge and enchant, "Transformative Teal" brings together an eclectic group of artists whose practices span painting, sculpture, photography, performance and digital media. Each piece embodies the dynamic tension and harmony inherent in transformation: the push and pull between past and future, the personal and collective, the seen and unseen.
This exhibition invites viewers to immerse themselves in moments of metamorphosis—whether subtle or striking—within both the artworks and within themselves. The varying shades of teal ripple across the gallery space, echoing waves of change that touch every aspect of existence. From intimate narratives of identity and healing to expansive meditations on nature and society, "Transformative Teal" reveals how transformation is at once an external phenomenon and an internal journey.
As daylight filters softly through Sabine Street Studios’ sky lights this summer, "Transformative Teal" encourages us to embrace the fluidity of life, celebrate diversity in expression, and recognize the power of art to illuminate paths of continuous becoming. Step inside, and let teal’s transformative energy wash over you—inviting reflection, renewal, and revelation.
