NO SUBMISSIONS PAST THE DEADLINE OF Monday, August 11, 11:59 pm, OR OUTSIDE OF SUBMITTABLE WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Theme: The Artist's Palette

ADD MORE SPECIFIC PROMPT - Color???

For our upcoming exhibition, each artist can hang 2 - 5, THE LARGER THE BETTER FOR OUR THEME, spread to fill the empty wall by your studio, or hung together, for smaller works, on the wall adjacent to your studio door or hung on blank walls where needed.  Your specific section of the wall will be allotted by Silos Exhibitions Coordinator, Dana Cargile after the submission period is closed. The works you enter should be representative of your practice, and of what visitors can expect to find inside your studio. What about your artwork - the colors, compositions, stories, etc, represent who you are as an artist.

MAKE SURE THAT your submissions are FINAL. Only what is entered through submittable will be allowed - we print the labels for the shows using a spreadsheet generated by submittable.

Eligibility Criteria:  This exhibition is open to all Silos current artists across all disciplines.  Submissions must be orginal art created by tenants within the last three years.  Works will be on view in the corridors of all bays.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION CAPS:

1. For each studio, 2 to 5 artworks per lease-holding artist tenant. (Take into account their size, each artist will have about 10 feet of wall).

2. For official galleries no more than 6 pieces total

DIMENSION CAPS:

Each artist will have 10-12 feet of wall to hang their work near their door plus spread to empty wall as needed.  For this exhibition, we can hang large works  spread out down the wall or salon-style, for smaller works, meaning that you can stack works, or hang in grids or "cloud" arrangements within your allotted space. Take this into account when choosing what works you will enter.

ARTWORK PLACEMENT:

All pieces are to be hung near your studio. Dana Cargile will mark with tape the different assigned areas next to studios the day before dropoff, after patch and paint. For studios facing into galleries, your work will be placed in the nearest possible corridor or a nearby wall that is long enough to accommodate more artists.

Submission Fee: $20

This goes to Silos special events, advertising, show signage, labels for art, vinyl lettering,  etc. We are building our advertising budget!
